What is VPK?

The Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program is a state-funded early learning program designed to give 4-year-olds a strong educational foundation. Florida’s VPK program offers 540 instructional hours during the school year—providing 3 hours of structured, high-quality learning per day in a nurturing environment.

Your child is eligible for the free VPK program in Florida if they turn 4 years old by September 1st of the school year.
